Professor Saheed Olajide Ayinde Fakorede holds an NCE (Technical) in Automobile Technology from the Federal College of Education (Technical), Akoka, as well as a B.Sc., two M.Ed. degrees, and a Ph.D. in Industrial Technical Education, all from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Technology and Vocational Education, Faculty of Education, University of Lagos, where he has been in academic service since 2010, rising through the ranks from Lecturer II to his present position. With over 30 years of teaching experience spanning secondary schools, technical colleges, and universities, his research interests centre on skill development, the marketing of technical education, and innovative teaching and learning strategies in technology education. He has authored and co-authored over 30 publications in both national and international peer-reviewed journals, presented papers at numerous conferences locally and internationally — including the Canada International Conference on Education (University of Toronto, 2016) and the Global Education Network Conference (Sierra Leone, 2019) — and contributed a book chapter to an edited volume published by Trafford Publishing, USA and Canada. He is a registered member of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), the National Association of Teachers of Technology (NATT), and the Association of Vocational and Technical Education of Nigeria (AVTEN), and has supervised over 42 undergraduate and postgraduate students throughout his academic career.
