Personal Statement
Dr. Olukemi Esther Adetuyi-Olu-Francis is a Lecturer I in the Language Unit (French) within the Department of Arts Education, Faculty of Education, University of Lagos. She is a distinguished scholar-practitioner specializing in Technology-Enhanced Teaching of French as a Foreign Language (FFL). Her academic journey is rooted in the University of Lagos, where she earned her Ph.D. in Education French (2021), M.Ed. in French (2016), and B.A. Ed. (Hons) in French (2013). She had a foundation of having an NCE in English French (2005).
A multifaceted professional, she is a Certified English-French-English Translator/Interpreter by the Nigerian Institute of Translators and Interpreters (NITI). She also holds professional diplomas in Psychotherapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which she integrates into her roles as a character coach and mentor.
Dr. Adetuyi-Olu-Francis is a published author and co-editor of several academic texts and journals, contributing extensively to the discourse on French language politics and pedagogical innovation in Nigeria.

Dr. Adetuyi-Olu-Francis currently serves in several key administrative and strategic roles within the University, including:
- Coordinator: Diploma in French Language Proficiency Programme.
- Coordinator: Departmental ICT Committee.
- Team Member: Office of Career Development Services (OCDS) under the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development Services).
- Staff Adviser: Departmental Students’ Advisory Committee.
- Course Adviser: Currently advising 400-level and 300-level Education French students.
