Personal Statement

Dr. Oluwole Victor Falobi is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Technology and Vocational Education, Business Education Unit, Faculty of Education, University of Lagos, Nigeria. He holds a Ph.D. in Business Education (2018), a Master of Education in Business Education (2012), and a Bachelor of Science in Education in Business Education — Second Class Upper Division (2008), all from the University of Lagos.

 

He joined the University of Lagos as an Assistant Lecturer in 2014 and has progressively risen to his current rank of Lecturer I (2021), while also serving concurrently as Deputy Coordinator of the Sandwich Programme (2019–2022), Hall Warden of Sodeinde Undergraduate Hall (2020–2023), and Faculty of Education Examination Officer (November 2022 to date).

His research interests centre on entrepreneurship education, business education curriculum, instructional resources, manpower training and development, and self-employment empowerment of students. He has published in several reputable national and international peer-reviewed journals — including the Potchefstroom Journal of Education & Social Science (South Africa) and the Multidisciplinary Journal of Language and Social Sciences Education (Zambia) — and has contributed chapters to edited books published by the University of Lagos Press and Bookshop Ltd. and Vitaman Educational Books.

A certified Entrepreneurship Trainer by the International Labour Organization (ILO), he is a Professional Member of the National Business Education Association (NBEA) of the USA, the Association of Business Educators of Nigeria (ABEN), a Member of the Nigeria Institute of Management, and the Institute of Debt Recovery Practitioners of Nigeria.

 

He has received multiple awards for outstanding teaching, including the Best Lecturer (Male) Award for the 2017/2018 and 2018/2019 academic sessions from the Arts and Social Sciences Education Students Association, University of Lagos.
