Dr. Bolanle Shanu is a scholar of English Education with a strong disciplinary orientation toward literacy, pedagogy, and teacher development. She holds an N.C.E. in English/Political Science, a B.A.Ed. in English, an M.A.Ed. in English, and a Ph.D. in Education (English). Her academic formation reflects sustained engagement with language studies, curriculum design, and classroom-based research within the Nigerian educational context.

Her research focuses on multilingual literacy, critical literacy, digital critical pedagogy, and creative approaches to language teaching and learning. She has written a number of scholarly works examining critical thinking development, technology-enhanced reading instruction, and innovative, learner-centered methodologies that foster deeper textual engagement and intellectual independence in English language classrooms
