Dr. Olusegun Ezekiel Alao is a Lecturer in the Department of Technology and Vocational Education, Faculty of Education, University of Lagos, Nigeria, where he specialises in Business Education.

He holds a Ph.D. in Business Education (2021), a Master of Education in Business Education (2012), and a Bachelor of Science Education in Business Studies — Second Class Upper Division (2009), all from the University of Lagos, as well as a Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) in Business Education — Upper Credit — from Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, Ijanikin.

A distinguished scholar from the outset of his academic career, he was awarded a Graduate Fellowship by the School of Postgraduate Studies, University of Lagos, and was recognised as the Best Graduating Business Education Master’s Student for the 2010/2011 session.

His research interests centreon entrepreneurship education, experiential pedagogy, business education curriculum, sustainable development, and students’ empowerment for self-employment and decent work.

He has published widely in reputable national and international peer-reviewed journals — including publications indexed with institutions in New Zealand, Malaysia, and Indonesia — and has contributed chapters to edited books published by the University of Lagos Press.

He has presented papers at international conferences, including the Global Education Network (GEN) Conference in Botswana and the African Research Universities Alliance (ARUA) Conference at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. A member of the Association of Business Educators of Nigeria (ABEN), the National Business Education Association (NBEA) of the USA, the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) of Nigeria, and the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), he has supervised over 164 undergraduate students and serves actively on several faculty and departmental committees at the University of Lagos.
