
Dr. Tawakalitu Oluwakemi Ojeomogha
Personal Statement
Dr. Ojeomogha Tawakalitu Oluwakemi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Adult Education, University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos State, Nigeria, with a specialization in Vocational and Entrepreneurship Education.
She is an accomplished educator, researcher, mentor, academic administrator, and community development practitioner whose career spans over three decades of impactful service in education, research, vocational development, entrepreneurship empowerment and university administration.
Before joining the University of Lagos as a lecturer, Dr. Ojeomogha served as a Business Studies teacher at the University of Lagos International School, Akoka, where she taught for 17 years and contributed significantly to the development of secondary school education.
As an experienced academic supervisor, Dr. Ojeomogha has successfully supervised over 90 undergraduate research projects and more than 35 postgraduate dissertations and theses, mentoring emerging scholars, educators, and researchers while fostering academic excellence and professional growth.
Dr. Ojeomogha has also distinguished herself through competitive grants and international fellowships.
She is an Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Fellow at Julius-Maximilians University, Wrzburg, Germany (2026), where she participated in professional development and international academic exchange.
She is also a recipient of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund)/Institution-Based Research (IBR) Grant (2025), supporting innovative research and knowledge generation in adult and vocational education. Beyond her university responsibilities, Dr. Ojeomogha has rendered valuable professional services in various capacities.
She has served as a Returning Officer for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), demonstrating commitment to electoral integrity and democratic governance. She is also a Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training Consultant, providing expertise in skills development, entrepreneurship promotion, workforce empowerment, and community capacity building.
Additionally, she has served as a consultant to Minaz Nursery, Primary and College and is a member of the Board of Directors of Danbath Technical and Vocational Schools, where she contributes to educational leadership, policy development, institutional governance, and strategic growth.
A passionate advocate for lifelong learning, entrepreneurship, vocational empowerment, digital skills development, and sustainable community transformation, Dr. Ojeomogha remains committed to promoting skills acquisition, mentoring future generations, empowering artisans and vulnerable populations, advancing impactful research, and contributing to national and global development.
