Prof. Oladiran Stephen Olabiyi

I am a professor of technology and vocational education, passionate about advancing students’ understanding of technology and vocational education at all levels through implementing innovative, student-centered pedagogies. My work focuses on skill development, entrepreneurship, ICT in STEM education, workforce development, policy, and curriculum studies. With a strong commitment to reducing poor performance and increasing proficiency in occupational and related work skills through innovative strategies, I am dedicated to developing scientific research that informs policies and fosters societal enhancement by educating youths, young craftsmen, and technologists, while engaging local communities through workshops, seminars, sensitization, creativity, and advocacy. My primary objective is to advance the study of technology and vocational education and to train in-service and pre-service technology and vocational teachers, thus addressing the challenges of inadequate technical and technology teachers in Nigeria in particular and Africa in general through cooperative teaching and learning and cross-disciplinary conceptualization.
