Personal Statement

Dr Hammed Gbenga Adewale is a Nigerian scholar and specialist in Special Education with expertise in neurodevelopmental and behavioural disorders, learning disabilities, inclusive education, and clinical psychotherapy.

His research focuses on behaviour-learning deficits, parental psychosocial wellbeing, neurodevelopmental disorders, and the application of art-based therapeutic interventions including cinematherapy, phototherapy, music therapy, comic-based approaches, and artificial intelligence supported interventions.

He currently serves as a Lecturer in the Special Education Unit, Department of Educational Foundations, Faculty of Education, University of Lagos, Nigeria.

His work is directed towards strengthening inclusive educational practices, improving caregiver resilience, and developing culturally responsive evidence-based interventions.
