Professor. Joseph Olayinka Awoyinfa is a lecturer in the Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education, Faculty of Education, University of Lagos.

Professor. J. O. Awoyinfa later proceeded to the greatest University of Lagos, where he bagged his MSc.Ed. and Ph.D. degrees respectively in Sports Administration and Management. He has presented many academic papers both locally and internationally at different fora. Professor. Joseph Ola. Awoyinfa is an ordained pastor, a Jerusalem pilgrimage (J.P.) and a life molder.

He has taught Human Kinetics and Health Education, Sports Administration and Management at various levels of academic endeavors.

He has served and still serving the University in various Administrative positions such as Sandwich coordinator, two terms elected Senate member and now a full member of Senate of the University of Lagos as a Professor, Chairman of departmental postgraduate committee, Director of Sports, University of Lagos for eight years and Executive secretary that Organized both the NUGA Games 2022 as well as the FASU Games 2024 cohosted between UNILAG&LASU. 

He was one time Departmental examination officer, cohort advisers and staff advisers to winner’s campus student as well as Campus C&S student fellowship, He is a Member of NAPHER-SD as well as Member of Sports Management Association of Nigeria, SMAN among others.

Professor J.O.Awoyinfa is also a member of Canadian Sports Security council {CSSC} and external examiner to LASU, UNILESA, OAU, UNICAL, U.I. UNIJOS, NIS amongst others. 

He is a researcher, an author, a prolific writer, and a health and keep fit instructor and an Educational consultant expert.

He is happily married and the marriage is blessed with both male and female enviable children.
