Head of Department - OJO, Ronke Christiana

OJO, Ronke Christiana (PhD), 08038170922 rojo@unilag.edu.ng is a Professor of Philosophy of Adult Education from 2022 in the department of Adult Education, University of Lagos. A member of University senate from 2022 till date; an Elected Representative of the floor of senate on the LUTH Management Board, spanning February 2025 till January 31st 2026. Member: University Quality Assurance Committee 2020-Date, member: University of Lagos policy compilation (2024). Member, Faculty of Education Research Committee, University of Lagos 2019-2023. Editor in Chief Departmental Journal Committee (JET) 2022-till date. She has supervised 7 PhD candidates completed and another 12 candidates ongoing and has served as Internal Examiner to 11 PhD defense in the Department of Education, University of Lagos.

She is PhD external examiner to Department of Adult Education, University of Ibadan, Adekunkle Ajasin University, Akungba and External Moderator to Federal College of Education (Special) Oyo and Federal College of Education (Technical), Yaba Lagos, respectively.

She is a member of Philosophers of Education Association of Nigeria (PEAN), a 2-Term Treasurer of the association and member, Editorial Board: Nigerian Journal of Philosophers of Education. A member of National Council for Adult Education (NNCAE) and member Editorial Board: Nigeria National Council for Adult Education Journal. She is also a member of African Studies Association of UK (ASAUK). A Fellow: Department of Adult Education and Comparative Studies, University of Wurzburg, Germany. Her research interests cut across Philosophy of adult education, Comparative Studies in Adult Education and Women Education.

She has published more than 56 articles and chapters in books in high impact peer reviewed referred learned journals and Books both home and abroad and has edited a book titled, Perspectives on Women Education in Nigeria. Ojo Ronke is the current Head of Department Adult Education, Faculty of Education, University of Lagos.
