Prof. Veronica Folasade T. Babajide is a Professor of Science Education (Physics) in the Department of Science Education, Faculty of Education, and University of Lagos. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education Physics Degree from the University of Nigeria Nsukka, 1996, a Master of Education 2000 and Doctor of Philosophy in Science Education Degrees 2010 Specializing in physics education from the university of Ibadan respectively. She joined the service of University of Lagos in 2011 as a lecturer II and rose to the rank of a Professor in 2023. Prof. Babajide is an academia and a researcher per excellence. She is passionate about students’ performance in science in general and in physics in particular, and her research areas include modern pedagogies of teaching physics and science at all levels, gender, and inclusive physics education curriculum.

She has served in various capacities as chairperson of committees, at Departmental, Faculty, University of Lagos Women Society levels, Faculty examination officer, post graduate Coordinator and member of central time table committee in the university of Lagos. She is currently serving as members of the boards of :(a) post graduate studies and (b) university of Lagos women society nursery and primary school. She has successfully supervised Six Ph. D students, thirty three  students at Master’s Degree level, one hundred and fifty-eight at Post Graduate Diploma in Education  level and over four -hundred Undergraduate Projects.

Prof Veronica Babajide is a member of academic and professional organizations both in Nigeria, Africa and Europe; she has over sixty publications in reputable peer reviewed journals to her credit, and has attended over fifty Conferences both at national and international levels, a recipient of awards in both national and international levels. She is an external Assessor of candidates at professorial level, external assessor of Ph. D theses in Nigeria and Africa respectively and external examiner to some universities

Prof. Veronica Babajide is a  recipient of Fellow: Global Education Network (FGEN) on 28^th September,  2016, at University of  Cape Coast, Ghana, GEN   award of Recognition for the  contribution to the development of education in Sub-Sahara Africa, on3^rd December  2019 at   Mary Kingsley Auditorium, Freetown, University of Freetown  Sierra-Leone and  GEN Award of Excellence as website Officer presented  on  5^th September 2024  at Liverpool Hope University United Kingdom  and the award of Excellence & Corporate Performance of the International Institute of Policy Review and Development Strategies (IIPRDS) 29^th  March  2019, Award of leadership in research  on 4^th August, 2025 by the Education Dialogue Association (EDUDIA) at University of  Winneba Ghana.
