Personal Statement

I am an early career researcher and curriculum developer, with a passion for advancing sustainable solutions in teacher education, language development, revitalization and promotion in the 21st century, through the use of innovative ICT tools. My work focuses on promoting and preserving indigenous languages and cultures using modern technologies-- especially the Igbo language and culture; indigenous education and literacy with a strong commitment to promoting communicative skills and mother tongue in early childhood and in the 21st century youths. I constantly seek to bridge scientific research and real-world impact – empowering youths and local communities through innovations and advocacy. My ultimate goal is to translate research into training models that address Africa’s challenges in norms, values, languages, teacher education, unemployment, and sustainable development through collaborative, interdisciplinary approaches
