Prof. Saheed Olajide Ayinde Fakorede

Prof. Fakorede, Moh'd Saheed Olajide A., is a seasoned researcher and technical skills expert in Mechanical Technology, with a focus on Automobile and Metalwork. He has authored over 40 publications in reputable national and international journals. His academic and professional interests focus on the development, acquisition, and re-skilling of students to foster entrepreneurial mindsets that promote self-reliance and job creation. He is passionate about translating scientific research into real-world impact by empowering youths, mentoring young scientists, and engaging with local communities to drive inclusive socio-economic development.

He works actively with pre-service teachers while also supporting the continuous professional development of in-service teachers to enhance efficient pedagogical practices and improve instructional delivery. His goal is to bridge theory and practice by producing technically skilled graduates and highly competent educators, with the ultimate aim of reducing unemployment and promoting sustainable entrepreneurship. He remains committed to excellence in teaching, research, and community service, contributing to the transformation of Nigeria’s workforce through innovative education and skills development.

He has made significant contributions to curriculum review and development for Technical and Vocational Education (TVE) in collaboration with NBTE, NABTEB, WAEC, NECO, FME, and UNESCO. Prof. Fakorede also serves as an external examiner to several federal and state universities across Nigeria. Dedicated to bridging research with practical impact, he is committed to empowering youths, enhancing teacher capacity, and driving sustainable educational reforms through effective instructional delivery and policy development.
