Dr. Agoro Alexander Afolabi is a Lecturer in the Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education, Faculty of Education, University of Lagos. 

He obtained a B.Sc. in Physical Education (1997), an M.Sc. in Sports Management (2004), and a Ph.D. in Sport Administration and Management (2019).

 His academic career spans teaching, research, sports administration, student mentorship, and community service.

Dr. Agoro commenced his academic career as a Graduate Fellow in the Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education, University of Lagos, serving from 2006 to 2009. 

He was appointed Lecturer in January 2010 and has since contributed to undergraduate teaching, student supervision, research, field trips, teaching practice supervision, and academic administration.

Sports Management and Administration; Sports Marketing; Sports Tourism; Health Promotion; Human Performance; Information and Communication Technology in Sports; Digital Technologies in Sports Administration; Consumer Behaviour in Sport; Research Methods in Human Kinetics and Health Education.

Scholarly Contributions
Dr. Agoro’s scholarly work addresses contemporary issues in sports participation, sports marketing, organizational behaviour, health promotion, and sports management. His doctoral research examined advertising as a predictor of consumer patronage and attitudes toward sports participation among undergraduates in South-West Nigeria.
Professional Experience and Service
Before joining academia, he served during the National Youth Service Corps as Acting Team Manager of NAFCON Green Stars Football Club, where he coordinated logistics, match reports, transportation, feeding, and accommodation. Within the University of Lagos, he has served on departmental committees, including the Departmental Results Committee, and as the departmental ICT representative.
Dr. Agoro remains committed to advancing knowledge in Human Kinetics and Health Education through teaching, research, professional service, and the application of digital technologies to sports administration and management.
