Personal Statement

Dr. Jaiyeoba is a Lecturer in the Health Education Unit, Department of Human Kinetics & Health Education.

Her work focuses on Social Determinants of Health (SDOH), Mental Health Promotion, Substance Abuse Prevention & Intervention, Behaviour Modification and Holistic Wellness Promotion. 

She earned her Ph.D. in Health Education from the University of Lagos, Nigeria and is a fellow of the Institute of Information Management Africa (FIIM). With over two decades of clinical work experience, Dr. Jaiyeoba brings a wealth of practical expertise to the classroom, enriching and shaping the academic experience of her students in meaningful and impactful ways.

She actively engages with the global health education community through her membership in the International Union for Health Promotion and Education (IUHPE), International Network for Health Workforce Education (INHWE), the International Society of Substance Use Professionals (ISSUP), and the School Health Educators and Professionals Association of Nigeria (SHEPAN).
She is the author of two books: Developing Emotional and Social Intelligence and Substance Abuse Prevention Strategies Manual for Youth, and has contributed thirteen peer-reviewed publications to national and international journals. Her research has been presented at various national and international conferences, reflecting her sustained commitment to advancing health promotion and education on a global scale.
