Personal Statement
Professor FESTUS MAYOWA ADEYEYE is a professor of sports and exercise psychology. He obtained his BSc (Hons) Ed, in physical and health education in 1988, M.Ed. sports psychology in 1989 and a PhD in sports and exercise psychology in 1996 all from the prestigious University of Lagos.
He had earlier obtained the NCE from Lagos state college of education (Lagos State University of Education) in 1983.
His research interest is in the area of stress management, motivation, psychophysiological variables in sports.
Professor Adeyeye has published extensively both at national and international journals, he has also travelled extensively presenting papers at international conferences.
Professor Adeyeye has supervised over 100 master’s degree candidates and has to his credit over 12 PhD students. He is currently the head of Department and belongs to many professional/academic associations.
Professor Adeyeye has served as the president of sports psychology association and a one-time team psychology to the super eagles in 1996. He is married and blessed with children.
