Personal Statement

Dr. Aletan Matthew Sola (PhD) is an Associate Professor of Educational Psychology in the Department of Educational Foundations, Faculty of Education, University of Lagos, with 43 years of teaching experience.

He earned his PhD in Educational Psychology from the University of Calabar in 2001.

He has supervised over 300 http://M.Ed & 15 http://PhD students and published more than 50 articles in local and international journals.

He has authored two textbooks and is currently working on _Psychology of Marriage_. His research focuses on Learning & Learning Outcomes and Human Behaviour, with particular interest in the heredity–environment debate in Nigerian education.

Dr. Aletan serves as external examiner to several universities and as consultant to many schools within Lagos State and beyond. He is President of the Lagos State chapter of the Association of Child and Learning Psychologists (ACLP) and General Secretary of the Association nationally.
