Associate Professor Janet Omojola Okebiorun is a distinguished scholar in Manpower Training and Development Education in the Department of Adult Education, University of Lagos.

With over 33 years of teaching experience, Associate Professor Okebiorun has made significant contributions to adult education, workforce development, and manpower training. She is currently supervising 12 Ph.D. candidates.

• Her academic excellence, professional engagement, and commitment to human capital development continue to make her a leading figure in adult education and manpower development in Nigeria.
• Beyond academia, she has contributed extensively to policy advocacy, capacity building, consultancy, and staff development programmes for organizations such as the Lagos State Ministry of Tertiary Education, Agency for Mass Education, Integrated Total Control System (ITCS), ARIBORN Group of Companies, and Darkol Publishers.

• Within the University of Lagos, she has served in several administrative capacities, including Departmental Coordinator and Board Member of the School of Postgraduate Studies, as well as a member of numerous university and faculty committees.

  She is a recipient of the Erasmus+ KA171 Scholarship and a grant of 3,000, and was a Fellow of the Department of Adult Education and Comparative Studies at University of Wrzburg.

  In service to national development, she served as a Collation Officer during Nigeria’s 2011, 2015, 2019, and 2023 general elections and as a facilitator and supervisor during the 2006 Population and Housing Census
